Martin Lutz ist ein in Berlin ansässiger Komponist, Musiker und Klangkünstler. Er kreiert Klangstücke für internationale Künstler, Tanzkompanien und Filmproduktionen. Er hat Aufenthalte betreut und an Programmen teilgenommen. Er realisierte eine Reihe von Klanginstallationen in Europa und China. Er studierte Klangkunst an der UdK Berlin und Musikwissenschaft an der LMU München. Martin Lutz is a Berlin based composer, musician and sound artist. He creates sound pieces for international artists, dance companies and film productions. He has mentored and participated in residency programmes. He realised a number of sound installations in Europe and China. He studied sound art at UdK Berlin and musicology at LMU Munich.
Im Mittelpunkt seiner Arbeit steht die Erforschung des Klangs in seiner Bedeutung und Natur im und für den Raum. Feldaufnahmen und experimentelle Tonproduktion bilden die Grundlage der Kompositionen, die Klänge und Klanglandschaften aus ihrer natürlichen Umgebung herausholen, um sie in einen neuen inhaltlichen und räumlichen Kontext zu bringen. At the center of his work is the exploration of sound understanding its meaning and nature in and for the space. Field recordings and experimental sound production are the basis of the compositions, which snatch sounds and soundscapes from their natural environment, in order to bring them into a new contentual and spatial context.
